Jo-Anne has been a registered BAS agent since 2010, and when the time came for her to complete her required CPE hours in 2018, she decided to enrol in the Xero Complete Training Course Package.

Jo-Anne runs her own business from Keysborough VIC, providing bookkeeping and BAS work to a range of clients – from sole traders to multi-million dollar companies.  She finds that some of her clients require more work than others, so Jo-Anne’s days are never the same.  For one client she might be doing the bills, receipts, chasing money; for others she just does the reconciliation and BAS.

After working for an accounting firm for 10 years (that was also a practice firm for Xero), Jo-Anne decided to go out on her own and start her own bookkeeping business.  She loves the independence and flexibility it gives her, and has built up her business over time through word-of-mouth and advertising on Bark: an online services marketplace. 

Jo-Anne has come to learn that getting those CPE hours each year is of benefit to her more than just ticking the boxes.  She thinks short courses are great, since she gets the information she needs in the areas in which she’s interested, as well as the added benefit of meeting her BAS agent requirements.
