1 How long will it take me to complete the course?
The fastest a student has gone through the full 9 courses half-day short courses is 5 days (including all knowledge review assessments).
The average time to complete all Excel courses in the COMPLETE Beginners to Advanced Excel training course package is 2-3 weeks and some people take several months or simply use the course and student support as a resource during their membership period.
When the training content in our online Excel training course was delivered in a face to face classroom environment it would take approximately 4-5 days.

2 Can I go over the training materials more than once?
Yes.
The Excel course instructional videos can be watched over and over again as often as you want.
The Excel Course workbooks are available as a downloaded pdf file so you can print it and go over it as often as you want. The Excel course practise files come with the training manuals so you can open them and use these files for learning as well as your own personal or business use.
The more you access and use the training materials the faster you will learn how to use the software and complete the course.

3 Are their any prerequisites
It is expected that you have a PC with Internet access and that you are confident using a mouse, downloading, launching programs and navigating around your computer (Windows OR Mac).
Although you’ll get through the course faster if you have an understanding of basic office admin terminology the course includes training videos to teach you these things.

4 When can I start a Microsoft Excel Course?
TODAY, 7 days a week. Enrol today and start your course today.
After you have completed the online enrolment form and made your payment your details go into our enrolment system ready to be processed.
We process enrolments every day of the week, even weekends. If you need confirmation after you enrol, just send a message to our SMS support number and we’ll confirm we have all your details to get you started.
When your Xero course enrolment is processed you will receive a Welcome email with your login details and how to access your course.
In busy times or public holidays you may receive your welcome message by 5pm the next business day but even then it usually arrives the same day.

5 How long can I access the Excel courses?
Since the January 14th 2011, we’ve offered lifetime access to the Excel courses so check on the course options when you enrol or check your welcome email if you are an existing student.
The normal access period is 12 months and that is much longer than you need to complete the course but enables you to go over it several times if you need to.

6 Do I receive Excel certification?
If you choose the certificate option when you enrol, you will receive a certificate after you have successfully completed the online assessment questions and complete a course evaluation.
If you did not choose a certificate option when you enrolled you can still answer the knowledge review questions and apply for an assessment and certificate.

7 How does assessment work?
The assessment questions are located at the end of each section or at the end of each course and comprise a series of questions which may include
- YES/NO,
- multiple choice,
- multiple answer or
- matching questions.
When you submit your answers (you get 3 attempts) your answers are recorded in your student profile.
When you have completed them you let us know and an assessor will confirm that you passed each test and provide you with a certificate.

8 How do I get my certificate?
Your certificate is sent to you as a full colour PDF attachment via the student support area.

9 What type of certificate do I receive?
When you complete all courses in Excel, including the assessment questions you receive an Advanced certificate of completion that confirms you have accessed the course and successfully completed the knowledge reviews. It contains a logo of the Bookkeeping Academy so you can put it in your resume to display the fact that you are a committed learner and part of an organisation devoted to continuing education.
If you enrol into individual short courses or level based courses (Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced) your certificate will show the course name or level.

10 Can I get a nationally recognised certificate?
EzyLearn training material provides training on Office Admin and Business admin. These short course are designed to give you the skills required for Nationally recognised course outcomes without the high cost.
To get a nationally recognised certificate you need to enrol into an office admin course with a registered training organisation (RTO) – EzyLearn is not an RTO.
Many students don’t need a nationally recognised certificate but if you do want one you will need to find an RTO that delivers the course you are looking for and then decide which level of Certificate you want. Read our information about the different types of Accreditation for training courses.

11 What if I have a problem using the online course
EzyLearn uses a corporate grade ticketing system to keep track of questions you have or tasks that need to be performed for you (like assessment checking for your certificate).
Students can access this online support for any questions they have regarding the course and all members of our support team can help until your questions is resolved. One to one attention to your needs is built into our support systems.

12 What if I have problems getting started with online learning?
Phone support is available if you need help in navigating the learning site – although the welcome email contains all the information as well as a video about how to use the online learning site. Phone support is scheduled depending on the nature of the help you need.

13 What’s included in the course?
This link on the website shows a list of each Microsoft Excel course, choose which course you’d like to explore further.
Excel courses include

- knowledge reviews to test and teach for each half-day course equivalent.

14 Do I need the software?
You don’t need the software to watch the videos and test your skill level will the knowledge reviews.
We always recommend you get the software (it is available for free via a link at our online learning site) and open the exercise files to practice and gain confidence using Excel.

15 How long does the course take?
Our online Excel training course includes 9 courses for the price you’d expect to pay for one course.
Each Excel Course Unit is the equivalent to a half day of group face-to-face training at our training centre (we closed the last one in 2006) so in total it would take approximately 4 full time days of training.

There are multiple levels of support on course usage, training materials, case study projects as well as a student community where you can find answers and meet other students. You can contact the tutors direct online or if you have any questions you can get phone support.

18 Do I need an Internet connection?
Yes.
Because you will watch educational videos we recommend you have a broadband internet connection. You’ll also need Internet access to log into the learning site and download the training workbooks and Exercise files.

19 Which version of Excel do you use?
The Excel courses use training materials from version 2016 as well as new content as it is created from time to time in our constant updating program.
The Microsoft Excel training courses are constantly being updated when there is a significant change in the content or navigation around the software and as a student you receive access to this new content.
Our Excel online training course includes content from all versions including Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
As a student you get access to all versions of our training material so if you use an earlier version at your work you can learn on that version.

20 What if I have a Mac?
Software designers like Microsoft create software for multiple platforms so that they can service the needs of as many business as possible. Although there are subtle differences between the versions on different platforms we have had many students complete the course using a MAC version. If you are not sure, take advantage of the money back guarantee and see for yourself.
Some of our earliest versions use Flash videos which may not be viewable on the latest iPad devices, but all new content is created in a format that is viewable on all platforms.

Our Excel training is focused on the Australian market but the tools are used universally around the world so we have had students from:

26 Can you help me start a business?
Yes. In 2012 we became the online training platform for the Small Business Management Course from the Australian Small Business Centre.
This course goes through all the areas required to create a business plan which becomes a blue print of how to run a business – any business. We then had our own team go through this course and complete it based on the following business types: Virtual Assistant and Bookkeeping Business.

27 Can I earn CPD (CPE) points with your Microsoft Excel courses?
Yes. If you are a certified bookkeeper with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) you can earn 1 point for every hour of education. The Microsoft Excel COMPLETE training course package can be completed in a normal classroom environment in 36 hours or 36 points (that’s approximately 5 days). Microsoft Office Word COMPLETE training course package takes a similar amount of time and all course duration’s are listed on the Microsoft Office course information pages.
You will need to enrol into the Certificate option to provide evidence of completion.

28 Do you offer interest free payment plans for Microsoft Excel Training Course enrolments?
Yes we do.
