Google Analytics and website visitor statistics
Google is now one of the most popular tools for small businesses all around the world. It started as one of the easiest search engines to use because the search page was uncluttered and now they provide a raft of other services that are aimed at helping business get found.
The reason Google has become so popular is because it helps people find “relevant” information. As a business owner your goal, if you want to appear at the top of Google search results, should be to pick your target customer and understand what they are looking for, then simply provide that information.
Part of this process is choosing keywords and key phrases and making sure that these words are linked to “relevant” landing pages. Landing pages are simply website page but they form part of your sales funnel. Your landing pages should gradually take readers closer and closer to your “goal page”.
Every website should have a goal. You either want people to:
- Call you
- Subscribe
- Order online
- Share it with their friends
Sometimes prospects won’t be ready to order or call you straight away, but will want to subscribe to your blog to get to know your business better so that when they are ready to make a purchase they are 100% comfortable that you are the right business for them.
